Notre Dame Design

Notre Dame Design is a private label Renwil brand created to cater to low-end retail stores selling furniture and home decor products. With tight deadlines, I created a name, logo, label set, and artist photos.

I brainstormed brand name ideas under the following guidelines: 1. The logo should work in both English and French, 2. The logo should relate to Montreal, and 3. The logo should sound high-end.

The Logo Stage
I designed multiple options for the logo, playing with clean and simple designs as per the owners' requests, while also trying more traditional looks for variety.

The Label Set
The artists' portraits were kept a minimalist style with a dark background to better coordinate with the simplistic style of the logo and, subsequently, the rest of the brand. The labels, meant to be attached to paintings and artwork sold in stores, consisted of the portrait and biography of the artist, plus the Notre Dame Design logo. Small matching hang tags were also made to use with textile items.
