Tim Worthington Financial Advisors
This personal project focuses on creating a visual identity for the fictional company Tim Worthington Financial Advisors. An exercise in corporate branding, I used a pre-existing client brief to create a logo and visual system for the new business. The company consists of an independent financial advisor catering to middle class families. The clients have previously maintained an investment portfolio but are ready to have it handled by a professional who can advise them on best practices regarding their finances.
Reflecting the client’s keywords, the logo features a classic serif font to represent traditional values, while the emblem is composed of simply handwritten initials “TW”, further supporting the company’s values of honesty, relatability, and trust. The different parts can also be disassembled later to create alternative logo formats suitable for usage across various media.
The client requested customized merchandise that he'd be able to give away (specifically sweaters and mugs), so I designed two version of each using the main brand colors. I used a simplified format of the logo on the sweaters to increase wearability -- nobody wants swag they won't use! For the mugs, I did a more graphic black and white version using only the emblem, as well as a more traditional design with the complete logo and slogan.
